The Health Service of the Ministry, in the context of the official controls it carries out in the Cypriot market, after sampling and laboratory tests by the accredited laboratory of the General Chemical State Laboratory, gave instructions for the immediate recall/withdrawal of all quantities of CUCCHIAIONE LINEA CHEF plastic spoon.
The product has the trade name GNALI, bar code 8011126006748, ITEM NO artCH24, no. batch/batch no 22/24N0211 and country of origin China.
In the announcement of the Service, which is relayed by the PIO, it is clarified that the product in question is withdrawn because it has been found not to comply with the European Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food, regarding the migration of Primary Aromatic Amines (PAA) into food.
The Service also calls on consumers in possession of this product to avoid using it and return it to the places where they have purchased it.
