A total of 271 persons, who were staying illegally in Cyprus, were repatriated during the last week (09-15 January, 2025), as part of the intensive efforts made by the Police to return third-country nationals to their countries of origin, through voluntary and forced return procedures.
In the same context, another 170 persons were repatriated yesterday, Thursday, January 16, following a new large-scale operation carried out by members of the Police and in particular, members of the Aliens and Immigration Service – YAM.
In 2024, a total of 10,098 third-country nationals were returned to their countries of origin through the repatriation procedures of third-country nationals residing illegally in Cyprus.
The efforts of the Police to maximize the number of repatriations of persons residing illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus continue daily.
