Over 100 projects with an expenditure of approximately €235 million. have been completed during his 10 years as mayor of Pafos, said the Mayor of the city, Phedon Phedonos.
In a post on social media, Mr. Phedonos pointed out that these are infrastructure and regeneration projects that transformed the city and upgraded the quality of life of its residents.
Streets, squares, cultural infrastructure and social care buildings, green and recreational areas and, perhaps the most important in the long run, two universities, he added.
He pointed out that the great goal remains to make Pafos the city par excellence of quality life in the category of small towns of 50,000 inhabitants that will combine intellectual, cultural, social and business prosperity in a rich natural and a modern built environment.
Such a modern city must have a strong social impact, providing sensitively and adequately a strong social safety net for the vulnerable and weakest.
