The Cyprus Police is implementing, as Beneficiary, the project entitled "Maintenance of the Disaster Recovery Backup System", with the aim of shielding the Police Information Systems from a disaster. Upon completion of the project, the maintenance of the computer equipment and software of the Backup System is expected, the seamless storage and retrieval of data maintained in the Central Police System and the National Schengen and Sirene System in the event of their destruction, the uninterrupted operation of the system and the effective conduct of searches in the database.
