The vehicle, according to information from the police, was found in the morning burnt in an area between the villages of Drapia and Kalavasos. Members of the Larnaca ICF rushed to the scene and found that it was a vehicle stolen yesterday from a Limassol road, on which it was parked.
The vehicle was examined by the Fire Brigade who found no flammable material or signs that it was a short circuit. The location of the stolen vehicle, however, leads to the scenario of the criminal act, since the perpetrators apparently wanted to remove traces of themselves.

Two state hospital nurses who covered for each other’s absences while holding other jobs continued to receive full pay until their scheme was discovered, Cyprus’s Auditor General has revealed.
Andreas Papaconstantinou, the Auditor General, said the nurses deceived the State Health Services Organisation (SHSO) by falsely claiming to be at work while employed elsewhere. Despite the fraud, they only received a minor disciplinary action of losing two salary increments.
“They misled the organisation with false representations,” Papaconstantinou said, criticising the leniency of the punishment given the serious nature of the deception.
