Applicants of the housing schemes of the Ministry of Environment and Energy can also apply to the Sponsorship Scheme for young couples up to 41 years old, without the need to withdraw the first application. However, approval in one of the two projects entails the cancellation of the application in the other, as double State aid is prohibited.

Clarification for the potential beneficiaries of the housing schemes of the Ministry of Defence and the housing sponsorship scheme for young couples
In relation to the potential beneficiaries of the Housing Scheme granting financial assistance to young people and/or young couples up to 41 years old, who have applied for the housing schemes of the Care and Rehabilitation Service for Displaced Persons (YMAPE), it is clarified that applicants who themselves or their spouse/cohabitant have also applied to the housing plans of the Ministry of Education, which is pending for evaluation, may submit an application for participation in the Scheme, without the need for the withdrawal of the application by the YMAPE.
It is noted that, upon completion of the evaluation of one of the two applications and provided that approval is given, the application for the other Scheme is cancelled, as the Schemes do not allow the receipt of double state housing financial support.
