Again a problem in the software system of the General Health System, again a hassle for health professionals and patients. Referrals are not accepted, prescriptions are delayed to be registered, patients go to pharmacies to be served but pharmacists are unable to help them.
Health service providers have just received a text message from the HIO, informing them that there is a problem in the IT system and "competent technicians are working intensively to resolve it".
It is reminded that this problem, which causes a serious malfunction in the GHS software, has been observed at least once a week for the last two months.
The company, which manages the GHS software, is making efforts, as assured by the HIO, to permanently resolve the problem.
