A yellow warning for storms has been issued by the Department of Meteorology which is valid from 10:00 p.m. Saturday until 8:00 p.m. Sunday.
As reported by the Department, isolated strong storms are expected to initially affect the north, west and south coasts and progressively the rest of the island.
Locally the intensity of the rain is expected to exceed 35 millimeters per hour.
In a storm, hail is expected to fall while the winds will change and strengthen.

The barometric low, named Alexandros and centered in the Aegean, is slowly moving eastward and beginning to affect the region.
Today the weather will be partly cloudy and locally at times mainly cloudy and isolated showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected, although the weather will be mostly clear in several areas in the morning. In a storm, hail is also possible. Winds will blow southwest to northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and transient to the windward moderate, 4 Beaufort.
