Maintenance work will be carried out from today, Monday, November 04, until November 15, 2024, in the tunnel of the Paphos-Limassol highway, with the Police recommending caution to passing drivers.
According to an announcement by the Office of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters, during the works, the tunnel will remain closed in one direction of the highway, with traffic being channelled through the tunnel in the other direction, which will operate with two-way traffic, towards Limassol and to Paphos.
According to an announcement from the Department of Public Works, the works will be carried out from 08.00 in the morning until 7.00 in the evening, for the purpose of maintenance of the tunnel. In the period between 04 November and 08 November, they will be carried out in the tunnel in the direction of Limassol, while in the period between 11 November and 15 November, the works will be carried out in the tunnel in the direction of Paphos.
During the work, the tunnel will be closed in the direction where the work will be carried out and traffic will be diverted to the tunnel in the opposite direction, which will operate in two-way traffic, towards Limassol and towards Paphos.
The Police recommends caution to passing vehicle drivers, who are asked to drive at a safe, low speed, maintain a safe distance from vehicles in front, and comply with temporary road markings in the area of road works.
