The recent bad weather of last Saturday also caused considerable damage to the Pafos cemetery.
Falling trees caused damage to graves while in one case a falling tree and its roots lifted a grave into the air.
In other cases canopies that were over graves either gave way or were blown away. PafosPress readers whose relatives are buried in the cemetery sent us a video showing the damage in detail. The photos on the cover of the article are from the video, but we will not show it for obvious reasons and of course out of respect for the families of the dead.
