Trade unions and staff will attend a meeting, called by the Department of Labour Relations, in a last-ditch effort to find a mutually acceptable proposal for the renewal of the Collective Labour Agreement.

The aim of the employees, the announcement added, "is to resolve the laboyr issues that concern and affect them, in an effort not to inconvenience the traveling public from possible strike action, for which the workers bear no responsibility."

In his statements, the Secretary General of the Cyprus Federation of Transport, Petroleum Products and Agriculture (OMEPEGE-SEK), Charalambos Avgousti, said that the aim is not the strike measures and the inconvenience of the traveling public, but the renewal of the Collective Labor Agreement and the resolution of labour issues through dialogue.
