On the Limassol-Paphos highway, in the section from Erimi to the Bridge over Petra tou Romiou, in the period 28/5/2024 – 15/12/2024, except Fridays, weekends and holidays, between the hours 07:00 – 15:30 , plantation watering works will be carried out within the central island, by the Forestry Department. During the works, the right traffic lane in one direction of the road will be partially closed for a length of 200m. and traffic will be diverted to the left lane. In the province of Larnaca, on the Larnaca Airport-Agia Napa and Larnaca-Kofinou highways, in the period 11/11/2024-30/12/2024, excluding weekends and holidays, between the hours of 08:30 - 14:30, pruning operations will be carried out and irrigation, on the slopes of the highways from both directions, by the Forestry Department. During the works, part of the freeway shoulder will be closed, in sections for a length of 500 meters at a time. Traffic will not be affected.
On the Larnaca Airport-Agia Napa motorway, in the direction of Ayia Napa, from Wednesday 06/11/2024 until Friday 29/11/2024, every day except weekends, between the hours of 08:30 - 14:30, works will be carried out installation of reflective elements on the concrete safety parapets of the central highway island. During the works, the right lane of the motorway will be partially closed for a distance of approximately 2 kilometers and traffic will be diverted to the left lane. On the Nicosia-Limassol highway, in the period 09/09/2024 – 23/12/2024, on the Kalavasos bridge, bridge upgrade/repair works will be carried out. During the works, the two lanes of the highway towards Limassol, approximately 1 km long, will be closed to traffic. Traffic will be diverted to oncoming traffic, which will operate in two-way traffic. Also, the entrance to the highway, in the direction of Limassol, from the old Limassol-Nicosia road at the Zygio junction will be closed and the traffic from the old road to the highway will be channelled through the Aktis tou Kivernitis junction. On the Nicosia-Limassol highway, in the section from the Skarinos junction to the Germasogeia junction in both directions, in the period 11/11/2024 – 21/11/2024, from 20:00 in the evening until 06:00 in the morning the following day, Monday to Thursday, work will be carried out to replace safety parapets. During the works, it will be partially closed for a length of 200m. one lane of the highway and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. On the Limassol-Paphos highway, in the direction of Paphos, from Monday 11/11/2024 until Thursday 21/11/2024, excluding Fridays and weekends, between the hours of 21:00 in the evening and 05:00 in the morning of the following day during the day, work will be carried out on the installation of reflective nails at the junctions of the motorway. During the works, one traffic lane will be partially closed for a length of 500m. approximately and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. On the Limassol-Paphos highway and the Limassol Bypass Road, from Thursday 07/11/2024 until Thursday 05/12/2024, excluding weekends, between the hours of 07:30-16:00, sweeping works will be carried out and in both directions. The cleaning work will be carried out on the shoulder of the road, without affecting the traffic lanes. Also on the Limassol Bypass Road, in the section from the New Hospital junction to the Muttayakas junction, from Monday 11/11/2024 until Thursday 05/12/2024, from 20:00 in the evening until 06:00 morning of the following day, Monday to Thursday, cleaning works of rainwater grates will be carried out. During the works, it will be partially closed for a length of 200m. one lane of the highway and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. On the Nicosia-Denia highway, on Thursday 14/11/2024 and Friday 15/11/2024, between the hours of 08:30-16:00, works will be carried out by the ATHIK, in the right lane of the highway, from the roundabout Denia roundabout up to Mammari roundabout. During the works, the right lane will be partially closed in both directions towards Nicosia and Troodos and traffic will be diverted to the left lane for a distance of approximately 2.0 kilometers. In Larnaca, the Larnaca-Dekelia beach road, from the height of the Oroklini Fire Station to the Organized Oroklini Beach (Pavilion), will be closed to traffic in both directions from 03/7/2024 and for seven months, at context of the construction works of the "Improvement of the Larnaca Coastal Road" Project akas – Dekelias Phase C". During the works, traffic will be diverted via Galaxia Street in Oroklini. In Lakatamia, works will be carried out on Tseriou Avenue and Strovolou Street, from Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue to Pefkou Street, from Friday 12/5/2023 and for a period of 20 months, in the framework of the improvement/construction of Ippokratous, Argyroupoleos and Department Avenues of Tseriou Avenue and Strovolou Street. At the same time, during the same period, as part of the reconstruction of Hippocrates Avenue, Themistokleous Street and Areos Avenue will be closed from their junction with Themistokleous Street to Nikias Street and Kentaurou Street respectively. In the district of Limassol, on the road Kato Platron-Prodromos, in the period from Monday 09/09/2024 to Friday 20/12/2024, from 06:30 0 to 16:00, daily, CFP wall lifting works will be carried out on sections of the road. During the works, one traffic lane will be partially closed at any time for a length of 100m. approximately and the traffic will be alternately managed with the “STOP & GO” system with appropriate signalling. Also in the Pelendrio area, on a part of the Trimiklini - Pelendrio road, in the period 30/9/2024 - 26/11/2024, from 07:00 to 16:00 in the afternoon, grid cleaning works will be carried out on slopes of loose soils . During the works, one 100m long traffic lane will be partially closed at any time. approximately every time and traffic will be alternately managed with the “STOP & GO” system with appropriate signalling. On the old Pafos-Limassol road, in the period 13/5/2024 – 12/5/2025 (for 12 months), construction work will be carried out to stabilize a section of the road, despite Petra tou Romiou (near the KOT refreshment center in Petra tou Rumi). During the works the part of the road being reconstructed will not be available to traffic. There will be continuous and uninterrupted traffic movement on both sides of the construction site boundaries. Traffic on the old Paphos - Limassol road from Paphos to Limassol will be diverted from the Petra tou Romiou exit (after Aphrodite Hills on the left) and from Limassol / Pissouri to Paphos from the Pissouri exit on the Paphos - Limassol highway. Also, on the old Pafos-Limassol road, in the section past Petra tou Romiou, in the period between 17/06/2024 and 16/06/2025, road stabilization works will be carried out. In particular, the works will be carried out to stabilize the slope and the floor of the roadway, as part of the 2nd Phase of the works carried out on the road, after the large landslides that had occurred since 2019. During the period of the works, 17/06/ 2024-16/06/2025, part of the old Limassol-Paphos road, despite Petra tou Romiou, will be temporarily closed to traffic in both directions to Paphos and to Limassol. the temporary signalling will be the same as it was done in the 1st Phase of Works. In particular, the necessary signalling and information will be placed on the parallel section of the Limassol-Paphos highway, as well as on the two cut-off sections on the old Limassol-Paphos road, despite the Pissouri-Petra tou Romiou west exit and by the Kouklion exit, for information of drivers intending to head towards Petra tou Romiou. In the Vassilikos area, from Thursday, February 22, 2024, fencing installation works are being carried out at the Vassilikos Energy Center, which will last until February, 2025. In the period October, 2024 – December, 2024, work will be carried out to upgrade bus stops and shelters, on urban roads in the provinces of Nicosia, Limassol, Paphos, Larnaca, and Famagusta.
