It is with great joy and pride that we announce that, according to the latest Eurostat results for 2022, our country ranks among the top seven countries of the European Union in packaging recycling, with a percentage of 70%, while the target set by the EU for 2025 is at 65%.

Cyprus, following the collection model applied in Belgium, which is at the top of packaging recycling in the EU, with a rate of 80%, is making significant steps forward in achieving European targets. This model creates prospects for even better results in the future that will further strengthen the country's economy and the environment.

Of course, the positive results are proof of the systematic work and cooperation between stakeholders, local authorities, businesses and recyclers. However, a decisive contribution to the process is played by citizens who are the main protagonists in the field of packaging recycling in our country.

These positive results, while extremely encouraging, also increase our responsibility to continue working responsibly for a sustainable future and a society that will feel proud of recycling in our country.
