In the context of the Police's efforts to return third-country nationals residing illegally in Cyprus to their countries of origin, more than 120 persons have been repatriated/expelled from the territory of the Republic of Cyprus in the last week.
Specifically, through voluntary and forced return procedures, 123 migrants staying illegally in Cyprus have been repatriated in the last week.
Since the beginning of the year, 8,498 persons who were staying illegally in Cyprus have been repatriated, while in the corresponding period last year 8,123 were repatriated.
The Police continues to focus its efforts on maximizing the number of repatriation of third-country nationals residing illegally in the Republic of Cyprus, in coordination with other competent Services.
