The US Air Force E-3B "Sentry" early warning and control aircraft has been hovering over the Eastern Mediterranean southwest of Cyprus for the last few hours [10 October].
At the same time a KC-46A 'Pegasus' refuelling aircraft, probably accompanied by several Fighters, circles due north.
