The Police were mobilized this Thursday afternoon after information that some personal items were found abandoned on a rock in the sea area of Peyia without anyone being in the area.
The report of a Briton who resides permanently in Cyprus spoke of the discovery of a women's swimsuit, a tank top and some jewelry on a rock in the Kerati area of Peyia.
This information immediately mobilized the Search and Rescue Coordination Center which immediately activated the National E-D Plan "NEARCHOS" by sending a helicopter of the Air Operations Unit (MAEP) of the Police to the area for the operation of identifying a person despite the fact that the Police no complaint was made of any missing person.
In the meantime, tomorrow Friday morning, the investigations are expected to continue with the helicopter as well as with a boat of the Coastal and Maritime Police as well as with infantry units of the Civil Defense.
