ANOTHER INTERNATIONAL DISTINCTION FOR PAFOS REGION - AWARD FOR THE BEST 'WINE EXPERIENCE & CULTURE' FROM THE CULTURAL WINE ROUTES
The Pafos Regional Board of Tourism has taken part in the international competition of the European Cultural route of the Council of Europe Iter Vitis (Wine Routes), and managed to be distinguished and win the Award for the best 'package of Wine experience & culture'.
The award ceremony of Iter vitis took place on October 18 th , in the city of Chisinau-Moldova, where 16 organizations from 10 countries were distinguished and awarded for projects and innovations they have developed in the field of cultural and wine heritage promotion.
The event was held under the auspice of the Ministry of Culture of Moldova, the National Association of Inbound and Domestic Tourism (ANTRIM), the National Organization of Vine and Wine of Moldova (OINVV), and the USAID.
This award for Pafos, resulted from the innovative initiative to create proposals for DIY Tours with a combination of interests such as Wine, Sea, Gastronomy and Religion. (Diy Tours, Wine, Food, Sea and Saints)
The director of the Pafos Regional Board of Tourism, Nasos Hadjigeorgiou, expressed his satisfaction that the efforts of the Tourism Board to continuously upgrade the visitors experience and implement actions that contribute to the transformation of the district of Pafos into a smart but also to a year-round holiday destination are recognized and awarded internationally.
The destination is constantly investing in upgrading experiences and making it even more friendly to individual visitors, while for 2025 the wine and food experiences on offer will be re-evaluated in depth and placed high on the destinations priorities.
