Mass poisoning of cats in the village of Silikou in the Limassol district is denounced by the Green Movement – Citizens' Cooperation.
"Following information received from citizens last week that dead kittens were found in the village of Silikou in the Limassol district, we return to the issue of animal killing."
The kittens, according to the Movement, were identified in a phase where they foamed from the mouth and everything directs that the most likely cause is mass poisoning. The Limassol Animal Police has been informed and will investigate the incident.
The coordinator of the Action Group for Animals of the Green Movement – Citizens' Cooperation Mrs. Anthi Mouzouri, in a written statement states that: "It is imperative to immediately identify the culprits who committed this criminal act. We kindly ask anyone who knows anything about this incident to inform the Limassol Animal Police. The impunity of those who commit crimes against animals has a negative impact on Cypriot society and must finally be brought to justice. Enough impunity for those who commit crimes against animals."
