From 23/9/2024 to 31/10/2024, from 21:00 in the evening until 06:00 in the morning of the following day, Monday to Thursday, cleaning works of rainwater grates will be carried out in parts of the bypass road Limassol in the section from the New Hospital junction to the Muttayakas junction in both directions. During the execution of the works, it will be partially closed for a length of 200m. one lane of the highway and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. During the period 16/9/2024 – 31/10/2024, between the hours of 07:00 – 15:30, daily, construction works of a retaining wall will be carried out by a private Contracting Company in a section of Platron – Prodromos road. During the execution of the works, one of the two traffic lanes of the road will be closed for a length of 120m. approximately and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane with alternating traffic management with temporary lights.
On the Limassol-Paphos highway, in the section from Erimi to the Bridge over Petra tou Romiou, in the period 28/5/2024 – 15/12/2024, except Fridays, weekends and holidays, between the hours 07:00 – 15:30 , plantation watering works will be carried out within the central island, by the Forestry Department. During the works, the right traffic lane in one direction of the road will be partially closed for a length of 200m. and traffic will be diverted to the left lane. Also on the Limassol-Paphos highway, in the period 07/10/2024 – 21/10/2024, (Monday to Thursday), between the hours of 08:30-15:30, on sections of the highway in both directions, along the road 1.5–2 km../per day, irrigation works will be carried out periodically, by the Forest Department, on the central dividing island for a total length of approximately 17.5 km. During the works, the right lane will be closed and traffic will be diverted to the left lane. On the Limassol-Paphos highway, on Tuesday 15/10/2024, between the hours of 09:00–16:00, the left lane will be closed, in the section before the exit to the new Limassol stadium, in the direction of Limassol, as well as the left lane, in the section before the exit to Erimi, in the direction of Paphos, as part of the construction works of the new road network in the area of the New Limassol Stadium. On the Larnaca Airport-Paralimni highway, in the period 18/9/2024-25/10/2024, every day, except weekends, between the hours of 08:30 - 15:00, maintenance work will be carried out on the abutments along the road, including of nodes. During the works, the highway, from Larnaca Airport up to the 3rd exit to Xylofagos and then back to Larnaca Airport, will be partially closed, 1km. per time, the lean. Traffic will flow smoothly in the traffic lanes. During the works, one traffic lane will be partially closed for a length of 200m. approximately and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. On highways in the province of Larnaca, in the period 14/10/2024 – 24/10/2024, (Monday to Thursday), between the hours of 08:30 – 15:30, irrigation works will be carried out on the central islands of the highways, by the Department Dason, as follows: (a) On the Larnaca – Ayia Napa highway, from Larnaca Airport to the Rizoelia roundabout. (b) On the Larnaca – Nicosia highway, from the Rizoelia roundabout to the Nisos exit, and (c) On the Larnaca – Kofinou highway, from the Kalos Chorio roundabout to Kofinou. During the works, the lane that touches next to the central island of the highway, 1.5 km long each time. On the Limassol-Nicosia and Limassol-Paphos highways and the Limassol Bypass Road, in the period 14/10/2024 – 4/11/2024, between the hours of 08:30 – 16:00, excluding weekends and public holidays, cleaning works will be carried out abutments on the bypass road and at the highway exits/entrances in both directions to Nicosia and to Paphos. The cleaning work will be carried out on the shoulder of the highway, without affecting the traffic lanes. In Larnaca, the Larnaca-Dekelia beach road, from the height of the Oroklini Fire Station to the Organized Oroklini Beach (Pavilion), will be closed to traffic in both directions from 03/7/2024 and for seven months, at framework of the construction works of the "Improvement of the Larnaca - Dekelia Coastal Road Phase C" Project. During the works, traffic will be diverted via Galaxia Street in Oroklini. Drivers are urged to use caution. From Friday 19/7/2024 and for a period of approximately 6 months, work will be carried out on the construction of a roundabout, on Akamandos Street in front of the Church of Panagia Zalakiotissa in Pegeia. During the execution of the works, the traffic to and from Peyia will be channeled through Raheros, Sarakkos and Koliakas streets, according to the on-site road markings. Only residents will be allowed to enter the intermediate work area. In Lakatamia, works will be carried out on Tseriou Avenue and Strovolou Street, from Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue to Pefkou Street, from Friday 12/5/2023 and for a period of 20 months, in the framework of the improvement/construction of Ippokratous, Argyroupoleos and Department Avenues of Tseriou Avenue and Strovolou Street. At the same time, during the same period, as part of the reconstruction of Hippocrates Avenue, Themistokleous Street and Areos Avenue will be closed from their junction with Themistokleous Street to Nikias Street and Kentaurou Street respectively. In the province of Nicosia, in parts of the highway Anthoupolis-Astromeritis-Karvouna, from Monday 14/10/2024 until Friday 30/11/2024, excluding weekends, between the hours of 08:30 - 15:00, works will be carried out cutting/pruning acacias and other trees. During the works, one of the two traffic lanes of the road will be closed for a length of 120m. approximately and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane with alternating traffic management with temporary traffic lights. In Kyperounda, on the Karvouna-Kyperounda road, in the period 30/ 9/2024 – 26/11/2024, from 07:00 to 16:00 in the afternoon, retaining wall construction works will be carried out on sections of the road. During the works, one 100m long traffic lane will be partially closed at any time. approximately every time and traffic will be alternately managed with the “STOP & GO” system with appropriate signaling. In the district of Limassol, on the road Kato Platron-Prodromos, in the period from Monday 09/09/2024 to Friday 20/12/2024, from 06:30 to 16:00, daily, CFP wall lifting works will be carried out in parts of the road. During the works, one traffic lane will be partially closed at any time for a length of 100m. approximately and the traffic will be alternately managed with the “STOP & GO” system with appropriate signaling. In the province of Famagusta, from Monday 14/10/2024 until Thursday 31/10/2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (excluding weekends and public holiday 28/10/2024), will be held removal of the existing asphalt and laying of new asphalt on the following streets as follows: Monday 14/10/2024 to Wednesday 16/10/2024: Section of the Deryneia - Frenaros Road (Archbishop Makarios Street) from the point where the cobblestone pavement stops in the core of the Deryneia Municipal District up to one (1) kilometer towards Frenaros , will be closed or one lane will be closed. Drivers will be guided by Vertical Temporary Signage to the relevant detours or by "STOP & GO" Light Signals accordingly. Wednesday 23/10/2024 to Thursday 31/10/2024: Section of the Frenaros – Vrysoules Road, starting from Frenaros in the direction of Vrysoules for a distance of 3.4 kilometers, will be closed or one lane will be closed. Drivers will be guided by Vertical Temporary Signage to the relevant detours or by "STOP & GO" Light Signals accordingly. Also in the Pelendrio area, on a part of the Trimiklini - Pelendrio road, in the period 30/9/2024 - 26/11/2024, from 07:00 to 16:00 in the afternoon, grid cleaning works will be carried out on slopes of loose soils . During the works, one 100m long traffic lane will be partially closed at any time. approximately every time and traffic will be alternately managed with the “STOP & GO” system with appropriate signaling. On the old Pafos-Limassol road, in the period 13/5/2024 – 12/5/2025 (for 12 months), construction work will be carried out to stabilize a section of the road, despite Petra tou Romiou (near the KOT refreshment center in Petra tou Rumi). During the works the part of the road being reconstructed will not be available to traffic. There will be continuous and uninterrupted traffic movement on both sides of the construction site boundaries. Traffic on the old Paphos - Limassol road from Paphos to Limassol will be diverted from the Petra tou Romiou exit (after Aphrodite Hills on the left) and from Limassol / Pissouri to Paphos from the Pissouri exit on the Paphos - Limassol highway. Also, on the old Pafos-Limassol road, in the section past Petra tou Romiou, in the period between 17/06/2024 and 16/06/2025, road stabilization works will be carried out. In particular, the works will be carried out to stabilize the slope and the floor of the roadway, as part of the 2nd Phase of the works carried out on the road, after the large landslides that had occurred since 2019. During the period of the works, 17/06/ 2024-16/06/2025, part of the old Limassol-Paphos road, by Petra tou Romiou, will be temporarily closed to traffic in both directions to Paphos and to Limassol. the temporary signalling will be the same as it was done in the 1st Phase of Works. In particular, the necessary signalling and information will be placed on the parallel section of the Limassol-Paphos highway, as well as on the two cut-off sections on the old Limassol-Paphos road, despite the Pissouri-Petra tou Romiou west exit and by the Kouklion exit, for information of drivers intending to head towards Petra tou Romiou. In the Vassilikos area, from Thursday, February 22, 2024, fencing installation works are being carried out at the Vassilikos Energy Center, which will last until February, 2025.
