With the final speeches of the defense lawyers of both sides, the hearing of the objection filed by Costas Constantinou against the result of the elections regarding the presidency of the Pafos EDA, concludes today at the electoral court sitting in Pafos.
The former MP of DISY Pafos, who ran for the position of president of the new Local Government Organization together with Pambos Pittokopitis, who was eventually elected with a difference of only 38 votes, filed an objection asking for a recount of the votes, based as he says on specific data and two testimonies based on which, as he claims, the result of the elections was not actually what was announced.
During the proceedings conducted during this period, dozens of witnesses called by both sides testified.
Following today's closing arguments, the Electoral Court will announce its decision, as estimated at the beginning of November.
