A cleaning campaign was carried out on Saturday by the Cultural Environmental Club of Chlorakas with the participation of volunteers for a clean environment, for a more humane and dignified living on this land in Chloraka.
According to the president of the Cultural Environmental Association of Chlorakas, Andreas Kyriakou, in a relevant announcement, the campaign was attended by the Cleanup Pafos Organization, the Pafos Green Movement, the members and friends of the Chlorakas Cultural Environmental Association, the Folklore Chlorakas, the Community Council of Chloraka and a large number of volunteers who were present because they really care about the environment.
The president of the Chlorakas Cultural Environmental Club called on the public to embrace these actions because they are for the benefit of all of us.
We expect, he continued, that "all of us will realize how important it is to respect the environment and our fellow human beings," adding that it is important "to change the old mentality that threw our garbage wherever it suited us."
Let us now show continued character and behaviour such that we are proud of the level of our civilization.
Indicatively, he added that paper goes into the paper bin, plastics into the plastic bin, glass into the glass bin, etc. etc. – for recycling, noting that the Green Point is almost outside our homes. All light or heavy waste can be transported there. And if we can't call the competent Department of the Community Council of Chlorakas, he concluded.
