BY THE END OF NOVEMBER TAX RETURNS

Filenews 30 October 2024 - by Eleftheria Paizanou

The Council of Ministers approved yesterday the decree granting an extension to the submission of income returns for the tax year 2023.

The new extension was granted after cyberattacks on government websites that resulted in problems in the electronic system of the Tax Department.

Taxpayers who have not yet filed their tax returns can do so until the end of November. Before the decision of the Council of Ministers, the last date for the submission of tax returns was October 31, which, however, is extended until November 30.

It should be noted that this is the second extension given. The filing of tax returns for 2023 began last April. By law, those who submit their tax returns after December 1 will be fined €100. It is noted that taxpayers with annual incomes over €19,500 are obliged to submit tax returns.

So far, 262,000 have filed their tax returns. taxpayers corresponding to 87%.
