The bookings and schedules of Europe's major tour operators now officially confirm the feeling that existed since July that this summer's satisfactory traffic to Pafos will continue in the first two months of autumn. The occupancy recorded in tourist units, the reservations already confirmed for this two-month period, but also the messages from UK tour operators mainly, give the mark of an autumn that will be the extension of the very good summer season, stress the officials of the tourism industry of the province.
Things, they stressed, become even more optimistic for Pafos since the element of local tourism has now entered the equation for good. The emergence of Pafos in recent years as an important destination for local holidaymakers, has resulted in more and more people in the area, raising the turnover of businesses, but mainly the expectations for the implementation of the goal of the directors of the tourism industry to turn Pafos into a year-round destination.
Traffic in September and October in leisure centers is expected to be equally important with traffic in hotels and other tourist accommodation, according to industry entrepreneurs in the coastal area.
