Low flights of military planes within the Nicosia FIR and in part of the free territory of the Republic of Cyprus take place on Tuesday night (17/09).
This is, as the National Guard announced earlier, military joint training, with the participation of personnel and means of the National Guard and the US Armed Forces, in the framework of the cooperation program between the two countries.
This activity is part of the broader framework of the operational training of the National Guard and is considered particularly beneficial, as it enables its personnel to be co-trained with corresponding personnel of the US Armed Forces, thus promoting the level of cooperation, interoperability and exchange of know-how for the execution of Special Operations missions.
It is noted that the co-training started today and will end on October 31, 2024.
