UN MAN PROMOTING PUSHING IRREGULAR MIGRANTS INTO THE REPUBLIC

Filenews 2 August 2024 - by Fanis Makrides

The peacekeeping force in Cyprus has taken on the role of pushers of irregular migrants in the areas controlled by the Republic of Cyprus.

And this is not a figure of speech, nor an exaggeration, but is proven by a video-document obtained by philenews and presented in this publication.

A United Nations man leads the 44 migrants who arrived in Cyprus just yesterday to pass through the buffer zone in the areas controlled by the Republic of Cyprus.

These persons arrived by boat in the bay of Morphou last night. Then, according to our information, the migrants boarded a vehicle that took them to the buffer zone and specifically to the area of Avlona – Peristerona.

When they attempted to cross into the Republic of Cyprus, members of the Police (Contracted Special Police Officers), within the framework of their duties and in compliance with the law, prohibited it.

It was at that point that the UN, a member of which appears in the video, intervened, urging them to break the law and enter the free areas of the Republic. He would prevent them from returning from the entry point to the north and tell them "get out, they are dangerous".

The role of the peacekeepers and their collaboration with the occupying forces for the umpteenth time is causing concern, while they themselves send irregular migrants to the areas controlled by the Republic, at the same time they denounce the Cypriot authorities for pushbacks.

It should be noted that the 44 migrants so far remain inside the buffer zone.
