In recent years, serious accidents have been recorded, even accidents, with quad bikes and buggy vehicles, on the main forest road from the Baths of Aphrodite to Fontana Amorosa, which leads to the beach "Blue Lagoon".
The latest incident happened last Sunday where the four-wheeled rental quad bike ended up in the sea after falling into a 90-meter cliff in Kakoskali. The driver and passenger, 22 and 24 years old respectively, caught up and fell on the road and were discharged from hospital after being given first aid. In recent years, fatalities have also been recorded. On 20/10/2018 we had the death of a couple of Russian tourists who fell on a cliff 30 meters high in the Kakoskali area with the vehicle they were driving. On 8/8/2021 father and daughter from France fell on a cliff about 150 meters deep and ended up in the sea in the area of Kakoskali with the motor vehicle they were riding in buggy type. The father lost his life and the daughter was seriously injured.
