A twenty-six-year-old driver was found positive in a drug test by members of the Paphos ADE in the early hours of Saturday.
According to the Police, around 1:30 in the morning on Saturday, members of the Paphos Police Department were conducting traffic checks and stopped a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old.
The 26-year-old tested positive for a preliminary drug test. The sample will be sent to the State General Chemistry for laboratory analysis.
Police operations to prevent traffic collisions will continue at a later stage.

Cyprus Police
In the context of investigating two cases of burglaries and thefts, the Police arrested a person early today. This is a 37-year-old man, who was taken into custody to facilitate investigations. According to the data under consideration, the above person on two different occasions (24-25/08/2024), appears to have broken into a specific property in Nicosia, which is under renovation. An hour after midnight today, the 37-year-old was found by members of the Police to be inside the building, in possession of a screwdriver and a lantern, as a result of which he was arrested for the obvious offenses of illegal entry and possession of burglary tools. The TAE of Nicosia continues the exams.
