A 10-year-old girl is fighting for her life, after being pulled unconscious from a hotel pool in Protaras yesterday.
As Filenews learns, the child is from Great Britain and came to Cyprus to vacation with her family. At some point, while in the pool, she escaped the attention of her mother and was found unconscious in the water yesterday around 3:00 pm.
There was no lifeguard at the scene, while according to the same information, the authorities are examining whether there was an operating license for the pool.
However, at the moment the swimming pool is operating normally with the Police continuing to take statements and investigate the case.
Regarding the health condition of the 10-year-old girl, we are informed that yesterday she was initially transferred to Paralimni Hospital and from there it was deemed necessary to transfer her to Makarios Hospital.
The child is from yesterday is intubated and with her health condition classified as critical, but nevertheless stable.
