Having now confirmed that in 2024 it will move upwards for Pafos tourism, the province now seems to regain the advantage of the Israeli market.
The neighbouring country has now opened for good to Pafos, after the interruption of air connectivity as a result of the attack by Hamas last October and already at the airport of the province there are daily flights from three airlines, EL-AL, TUS and Israir, while new airlines of Israeli interests appear in recent days in Paphos.
Apart from Israel, tourist Paphos is enjoying a significant injection this summer in the influx of visitors and capital from central and northern Europe, due to Ryanair's flight schedule. The colossus of low cost carriers connects Pafos all year round with dozens of airports in these countries and, as Paphos tourist operators point out, has made these countries an important factor for the year-round tourist flow to Paphos. With pre-bookings and visits to dedicated tourist traffic pages already showing that 2024 will mean a further launch of the destination in these markets.
Indicatively, arrivals from the Polish market alone have increased in recent years from 80,000 in 2019, to 120,000 last year and even higher this year, given that in the winter season 2022-2023 there are at least 12 flights per week with Ryanair from five Polish airports, while an enhanced flight schedule was announced this season with more than 14 flights per week from six Polish airports.
