IMPORTANT FINDS IN THE EXCAVATIONS IN THE 'PALLOURES' AREA IN CHLORAKAS

Graves of children and adults, as well as other important findings, were brought to light by the archaeological dig in the "Palloures" area, in Chloraka.

The excavations in the ancient settlement dating back to 3,000 BC. conducted by the archaeological team of the University of Leiden in the Netherlands together with the University of Cyprus and the Department of Antiquities. The team presented the latest news of the excavations on Friday, at SKE Chlorakas.

According to an announcement by the Chloraka Cultural Environmental Group, the archaeological team is hosted by the Chloraka Community Council and the excavations are being conducted under the direction of Archaeology professor Dr. Bleda Düring.
