Andreas Kaponidis, President of the Community of Peristeronas, was elected President of the Cluster 1 of communities in the Paphos district, which includes eight communities.
In statements to CNA, Kaponides said he was elected in a secret ballot held last week, adding that his goal is to upgrade the region.
As he mentioned, the eight communities belonging to Cluster 1 include Peristerona, Goudi, Lysos, Kinousa, Steni, Holi, Skouli and Filousa Chrysochous.
However, a decision is expected from the Minister of Interior to determine where the headquarters of the complex will be located, as, as he said, in the vote there was a tie vote between the communities of Peristerona and Goudi.
As of tomorrow, July 1st, we will start work, Kaponidis said, adding that in addition to the clustering of services, his goals are to upgrade the quality of life of the residents of the eight communities included in the complex, issues of cleanliness and decorum.
Whatever good concerns Cluster A, we will try to claim it through government programs, he concluded.
