The Minister of the Interior issued a Decree for the electronic submission and examination of applications for the issuance of building permits as of Monday, July 1, 2024, based on the Regulation of Roads and Buildings Law.
According to an announcement by the Ministry of Interior, in view of the implementation of the Local Government reform and the actions taken to simplify and accelerate the development permitting process, the Decree provides for the electronic submission and examination of applications for building permits, for all types of development, through the "IPPODAMOS" System, with simultaneous electronic payment of the corresponding rights.
"In combination with the transfer of the responsibility for development licensing from the existing authorities to the five newly established District Development Agencies, July 1, 2024 is considered by the Ministry of Interior as a milestone in the licensing of development, as well as the digital transition of its services," it added. As mentioned, the main objectives are to improve the service of designers and investors, but mainly to citizens, to reduce bureaucracy and to reduce delays in issuing permits.
In addition to applications for building permits, it is reminded that as of Monday, July 1, 2024, applications for planning permits will be submitted and examined exclusively through the "IPPODAMOS" System.
