The new Subsidized Employee Leave Scheme for the year 2024 has been announced, which will run from 14/07/2024 to 27/09/2024.
The Social Insurance Services of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance informed the public with an announcement about the operation of the Subsidized Employee Leave Scheme for the year 2024.
For the operation of the Scheme, hotels of mountain resorts and Pyrgos Tyllirias will be used, contributing to their survival, which will offer accommodation and full board to the beneficiaries of the Scheme, who will make the best possible use of their rest permit.
The Scheme will operate for the period from 14/07/2024 to 27/09/2024.
The public can obtain application forms and other relevant forms from the District Social Insurance Offices, the Citizen Service Centres (KEP) and the website of the Social Insurance Services, www.mlsi.gov.cy/sid.
The amount approved by the Central Licensing Fund for 2024 amounts to €900,000.
The Social Insurance Services have contracted with the travel agency ORTHODOXOU TRAVEL for the implementation of the Scheme, based on the Legislation on the Regulation of Public Procurement Procedures and on Related Matters as well as with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679.

Physical presence at the travel agency's offices is not necessary, as applications can be submitted via email, as described above.
It is reminded that a strict order of priority will be observed for participation in the Scheme and the selection of a preferred hotel. The Scheme is implemented until the relevant available amount is exhausted.
The terms of the Plan
1. The purpose of the Scheme is to subsidize the accommodation and food of employees and their dependents in hotels in mountain resorts and in the area of Pyrgos Tyllirias.
2. The Plan will operate for the period from 14.7.2024 to 27.9.2024 for mountain resorts and hotels in the area of Pyrgos Tyllirias.
3. A grant shall be awarded to:
a) employees and their spouses who are entitled to leave remuneration from the Central Leave Fund for the leave year 2023 and did not participate in the Scheme themselves or their spouses during the last one year, i.e. 2023.
(b) dependants under the age of 18;
4. All employees have the right to participate in hotels in mountain resorts, except those who reside in the areas of mountain resorts. All employees have the right to participate in the hotels of the area of Pyrgos Tyllirias, except those who live in coastal areas.
5. Priority will be given depending on the date of submission of the relevant Declaration
6. The maximum amount of the subsidy is fifty euros (€50) per person per day. Under no circumstances may the grant exceed the actual costs of hotel accommodation.
7. The grant will be provided for a period from Sunday to Friday (five nights).
8. For the purposes of the Plan, hotels of mountain resorts and the area of Pyrgos Tyllirias will be used, which will offer accommodation and full board at reduced prices. These hotels must have an operating license or meet the safety and health conditions examined by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism.
