A new batch of shieftalia in which the salmonella microbe was detected has been recalled from the Cypriot market, according to the Health Services.
It is a deep frozen product – Keepfrozen, under the trade name: UTENSILS, Net Weight: 600g, Time indication: DATE. PRODUCTION 26.04.24, USE BEFORE 26.10.24 , barcode: 5291340000040, packed airtight in a tray with transparent film.
In an announcement of the Health Services, it is clarified that salmonella was detected in the context of official controls carried out on the market, which have taken samples of the most mentioned product and after laboratory tests in the accredited laboratories of the General Chemical State Laboratory.
It is added that the Health Services "have already informed the company that distributes the food in question in the Cypriot market, with instructions for immediate recall/withdrawal of all quantities of the specific batch".
However, since some quantity of the batch involved may already be in the possession of consumers, the Health Services urge those who are in possession of the mentioned shieftalia, to avoid their consumption and return the packages to the places where they bought them.
The Health Services say they are working with the Veterinary Services to further investigate the matter.
