VOTING IN LOCAL ELECTIONS - WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

VOTING IN THE LOCAL ELECTIONS –  9 June 2024

Voting station [main Tala School] open 7am-noon, 1pm-6pm

Need voting book AND form of identification used to register for a vote [usually passport or other photographic document]

You will be given 4 voting papers:

Blue – Member of European Parliament – two votes

Purple – Governor of the Paphos District – one vote

Orange – President of the Tala Community – one vote

Grey – Members of the Community Council – you can only vote in ONE GROUP,  and can either place your vote in the box under the Group, or vote for up to 2 people in that group.  You cannot spread your vote across different groups

 

To vote you can use X or + or a tick – with either a blue or black pen/biro

ΑΝΔΡΕΟΥ, Δανιηλ – Andreou, Daniel - Currently Deputy Mukhtar.  Retired bank employee. Now teaches Karate.  Speaks Greek and English

ΚΑΣΙΟΥΛΗΣ, Παναγιωτης  Kasioulis, Panayiotis ‘Rocky’.  Lives in Lofos.  Director of IwantataxiCyprus.  Speaks Greek and English

ΜΠΕΡTΣΑΤΟΥ, Αγνη – Bertsatou, Agni.  She is an interior designer from South Africa.  She lives in Kamares and speaks Greek and English

ΤΣΕΠΛΟΚΩΒΑ, Ιουλια -  Peplokova, Julia.  Julia has degrees in English, Russian and Greek literature and is a teacher in Emba.  She speaks English, Greek and Russian.

ΦΟΥΑΡΤΑΣ, Τρισηλιος Foyartas, Trisilios.  Trisilios is a retired painting and decorating contractor and his son, Nikos, runs the Voukani Restaurant in the square.  Trisilios lives in the village.  He speaks Greek and some English.
