The Pafos Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company actively enhances the safety of bathers on the beaches through the provision of the latest type of smart remote-controlled life jackets, unique in Cyprus.
This action is part of ETAP's action plan, with a direction and vision for the creation of a smart tourist destination in the coming years. Similar actions related to the use of technology in tourism services continue to be implemented unabated throughout the province.
These smart life jackets that make their appearance for the first time in the Cypriot seas are environmentally friendly since they are electric and rechargeable, have a range of up to 800 meters from the operator, the ability to reach a bather in need of help very quickly since they are five times faster than the speed of the world swimming champion, Their maintenance is minimal and the use is very easy.
Initially, three life jackets have been secured, which are delivered free of charge to local authorities by ETAP.
