Fifty years after the treasonous and disastrous coup d'état of 15 July 1974, the Municipality of Pafos honours the Resistance of the city and the Pafos District with a major event focusing on the emblematic Bus of Resistance.
The event, organised with the contribution of the Pafos Resistance Organisation, will take place next Tuesday 28 May, at 7.00 p.m., at the roundabout towards Pafos General Hospital (intersection of Tassos Papadopoulos and Anavargou Avenues).
It will include the installation of the Bus in a special shelter designed and constructed by the Municipality of Pafos, greetings by the President of the Pafos Resistance Organization Mr. Andreas Theodorou and His Beatitude Archbishop of Cyprus Mr. George and a speech by the Mayor of Pafos Mr. Phedon Phedonos, while it will be artistically invested with music, speech and image events under the title "The Bus of Resistance" that will present the artistic group "Musical Companions" in curated – produced by Christos Stassis.
