The artistic intervention that turned the roundabout in the Tala community of Paphos leading to the Monastery of Agios Neophytos and the luxurious settlement of Leptos Kamares Village into a work of art has now been completed.
The water, which is the basic ingredient of artistic creation, now flows in the space, creating a magical scenery, especially during the evening hours, with the lighting that has been placed and the sound of water flowing from above falling into the tank in the silence of the night.
The impressive complete result has been visited and admired in recent days and nights, both by residents of Tala, the wider area, and Paphos in general. It is an initiative of the Community Council of Tala and the Leptos Group, which sponsored the project and which was created by the artist Yiota Ioannidou.
Now, a simple road junction has essentially been transformed into a work of art, with the main feature being the water element that sends the message of its traditional connection with the area and with the everyday life of its people.

A bronze sculpture depicting a daughter surrounded by white pigeons, as well as other pigeons dominating different parts of the work, is the impressive result that has now been completed these days with the connection of water to its infrastructure.

The central idea of the whole project, states to "F" the president of the C.S. Talas, Areti Pieridou, is to highlight the connection between man and nature. The roundabout of Tala, one of the busiest spots in the community due to its use to go to the famous Monastery of Agios Neophytos, but also to a luxurious space such as Leptos Kamares Village, she stressed, is now a reference point and creates an impressive scenery.
The idea of the creator, with which we fully agreed as a community principle, said Areti Pieridou, was to highlight the close connection of the people of Tala with nature and with the water element. Especially, we wanted to highlight the issue of the many looms that existed in Tala and the water that has dried up from most of them nowadays.
