POLICE - SPEED LIMIT CHECKS 15-21 APRIL

 

The Police announces a week of information and policing with intensified traffic controls, with an emphasis on speed limit checks, to prevent serious and fatal road collisions.

The intensified checks start tomorrow, Monday 15/04/2024 and will last until Sunday 21/04/2024, while at the same time they will also be carried out on a pan-European level, in the context of the cooperation of the Cyprus Police with the European Traffic Police Network ROADPOL.

Excessive speed is a very important factor in determining the outcome of a road collision and is considered one of the main causes of serious and fatal road collisions.
