Only 13 members of the police out of the 178 who graduated today from the police academy are transferred to Paphos. Twelve of them come from Paphos while the 13th comes from Limassol.
In fact, only 6% of the new members of the police were assigned to the Pafos Police Department, which is proven to face the greatest understaffing problem.
The problem is big in all police departments, but from time to time both the head of the force and his political superiors acknowledged that the Pafos police department lacks more than 80 members. In practice, however, they do not prove it...
