In three more points, in the Limassol district, the photo-labelling system will be extended as of next Tuesday, March 19. Specifically, ten new fixed cameras will be put into operation at three points of the Limassol road network.
Of the ten new cameras, four will check violations involving red light, white line and speed violations at the intersection of Franklin Roosevelt and Omonia Avenues. Another four devices will check the same violations, at the junction of Nikos Pattichi and Spyrou Avenues Kyprianou, while two photo-signaling devices are placed on the vertical road of Port – Kato Polemidia, which will control the speed of vehicles.
It is noted that the aim of the photo-labelling system is to reduce fatal and serious road collisions, as well as to consolidate proper road awareness.
