According to philenews' information, she passed through the airports of Cyprus undisturbed, without anyone asking her for additional explanations for the exorbitant amounts in her possession and which she declared to be hers to the customs authorities.

It is impressive that he came to Cyprus mostly, three times a month, carrying an amount exceeding 1 million euros. A typical case is the month of February 2024, when within a period of 20 days, the 31-year-old defendant transferred an amount of money exceeding 2 million euros. The same applies to December 2023 where within 8 days, it transferred an amount of €1,220,000, which it declared all 3 times it arrived, to Larnaka airport.
As philenews knows, the 31-year-old followed the Poland-Athens-Cyprus route most of the time. In other words, it used the Greek capital as an intermediate stop and traveled from there to Larnaka and Paphos. As it was said during today's proceedings to refer the 31-year-old to the Larnaca Court, the defendant had made a cash declaration the 20 times she came to Cyprus, stating that these amounts were for the purchase of real estate, stating that they were hers.

A person who repeatedly raped two underage cousins, one of whom was his godchild, will remain in prison for 20 years, with the court describing the case as "one of the worst of its kind".
The Court of Appeal dismissed in its entirety his appeal against his conviction and sentence, rejecting claims he made through his lawyers that the complaints from the victims were made too late and unjustified and that they did so on property grounds.
The offences against one minor were committed in the years 2006-2009, who was then aged 6-9 years, and the offences against the other child were committed between the years 1995-1997 when he was aged 9-11 years. At the time when the offences against one child were committed, the appellant was 26-29 years old, while at the time the offences against the other minor were committed he was between 13.5-15.5 years.
The Court of Appeal's account of how the perpetrator acted without inhibition in relation to one victim is shocking: "From that day until 2009, the appellant raped him many times without being able to identify them numerically.
In the first rapes, he tied his hands behind his back while keeping his mouth shut and placed a pillow on his face so that his voices could not be heard. About his sexual abuse and rape by the appellant, he did not report anything to anyone because he believed he would get into trouble. The sexual abuse stopped in 2009 when the appellant's foreign wife began staying with him more often at home.
Further, due to his mother's disagreement with the appellant over inheritance matters, she no longer wanted her son to have any contact with him. Because of the sexual abuse he suffered, he has been suffering from chronic depression since the age of 12, while at the age of 14 he made three suicide attempts. He has excruciating feelings of shame and guilt."
It is noted that the allegations were made only in January 2019, when one learned from the other what was suffering from the appellant.
The Court of Appeal in its judgment finds that the Assize Court that heard the case made a very careful and meticulous evaluation of the testimony without ignoring anything important, reaching correct findings with full justification. In assessing the testimony, account was taken of the testimony and positions of the appellant and his wife regarding a fabricated complaint motivated by revenge motives due to property disputes, which was rightly held to be wholly unreliable and lacking in logic. We note that the testimony of the complainants does not indicate their involvement in property disputes in any way.
Judges C. V. Charalambous, G. Kyriakides and M. G. Pikis stress in their judgment that due to the increase observed in this type of offenses against minors who have become a social scourge and the great social demerit that characterizes them, it is necessary to impose particularly severe and dissuasive penalties.
As stressed in the judgment, the circumstances of the commission of the offences against one child were extremely aggravating causing revulsion and revulsion. It is right to note that this case is one of the worst of its kind. The sentence of 20 years' imprisonment imposed is not manifestly excessive but falls within the correct legal framework. In the light of the above, the appeal against the conviction and the sentence is dismissed.
