Police in Paphos made three arrests to facilitate investigations into cases of burglary and theft and illegal possession of property, as part of a coordinated operation at residences and premises on Friday night. According to Pafos Police Director Nikos Tsappis, the Police carried out coordinated searches on Friday night at various residences and premises.
In the context of house searches, property was found in a residence in Kato Paphos, for the possession of which no satisfactory explanation was given by the three tenants and as a result they were arrested.
They are 40-year-old, 37-year-old and 36-year-old. Part of the property found in their possession was identified by a homeowner who had been burglarized in the previous period. Under questioning, the 40-year-old admitted to committing three burglaries and thefts that took place recently in Paphos.

Three Syrians were injured and 7 arrested after the violent incident that took place last night outside the Mall.
Two groups of Syrians from different families who had economic differences between them were beaten with stones, sticks and other objects.
The police are taking measures to prevent a recurrence of such an incident.
Update - Pafos Press: The Police were mobilized on Saturday night after receiving information about incidents.
According to the Police, there were clashes between foreigners with sticks, iron bars and stones.
The authorities rushed to the scene but the groups involved had dispersed.
Subsequently, the authorities made seven arrests possibly related to the incidents, while three persons were transferred to the Paphos Hospital.
The Police are continuing investigations to establish the reasons for the incidents.

Cyprus Police
Members of the Police stopped a car carrying seven men in the early hours of today (shortly after 2am), in the area of Paphos. A subsequent search found various offensive instruments, including wooden bats and pieces of concrete, inside the car, which were received as evidence.
All seven persons were arrested for the self-inflicted offense of illegal possession of offensive instruments and taken into custody. The Pafos Minor Offenses Department continues the examinations.
