Imports, Sales αnd Stocks οf Petroleum Products: January 2024

In January 2024, the total sales of petroleum products amounted to 109.710 tonnes, recording a decrease of 0,9% compared to January 2023. A decrease was observed in the provisions of marine gasoil (-11,0%) and in the sales of light fuel oil (-19,3%), asphalt (-18,0%), kerosene (-8,0%), heating gasoil (-1,5%) and liquefied petroleum gases (-1,5%). On the contrary, a rise was recorded in the provisions of aviation kerosene (7,3%), as well as in the sales of road diesel (5,5%) and motor gasoline (3,9%). As far as the sales from filling stations are specifically concerned, these have registered a rise of 3,4% to 54.635 tonnes. The total sales of petroleum products in January 2024 compared to December 2023 recorded a drop of 8,5%. Indicatively, a fall was recorded in the provisions of marine gasoil and aviation kerosene (-26,0% and -5,3%, respectively) as well as in the sales of motor gasoline (-7,9%) and road diesel (-6,4%). It concerns the sales of petroleum products from filling stations and the sales to government departments, to the British Bases and the United Nations, to ships and to other customers, as well as the stocks held at the end of each month. Only the petroleum companies are being covered.
