The British woman who reported being gang raped while on holiday in Ayia Napa took the stand at Famagusta criminal court this week.
The hearing took place behind closed doors between Tuesday and Friday, where the woman gave her testimony before the court.
She reported five Israeli men between the ages of 19 and 20 gang raped her while on holiday in Ayia Napa last year.
At the time, she was 20 years old.
The defendants all hail from Majd al-Krum and face charges of rape and sexual assault.
Last month, the DNA evidence for two defendants in the Ayia Napa gang rape trial was thrown out. As such, their trial will now hinge on the remaining witness statements.
The remaining three defendants may be able to use this decision at a later stage during the trial.

A 6-day detention order was issued by the Famagusta District Court on Saturday against two men, aged 19 and 21, who were arrested yesterday for facilitating interrogations regarding a new arrival of irregular migrants at noon on Friday, in the area of Cape Greco.
As stated by the Spokesman of the Famagusta Police Directorate, Steve Theodoulou, "yesterday at 13:20 noon, 2 boats carrying irregular migrants were detected southeast of Cape Greco".
It is noted that the first boat had 30 migrants (13 men, 6 women and 11 children) and the second boat had 117 migrants (92 men, 8 women and 17 children). The irregular migrants were transferred to Ayia Napa Marina and after their details were registered they were transferred to the Pournara accommodation center.
Theodoulou added that under questioning, the migrants said they set off on February 22 from Tripoli, Lebanon, after paying $2500 each to an unknown person.
From the interrogations, he added, testimony was obtained against a 19-year-old and a 21-year-old that "they were the pilots of the boats and were arrested for flagrant offences".
Today they appeared before the Famagusta District Court in Paralimni and a detention order was obtained for a period of 6 days. The Famagusta ICF is investigating the case.
