Almost daily, there are vehicle thefts. Yesterday, another vehicle worth about €2,000 was stolen when parked outside its owner's residence in the city of Paphos.

Police in Paphos arrested a 25-year-old man on Saturday night to facilitate investigations into an ongoing case of church burglary, theft and possession of burglary tools.
According to the Pafos Assistant Police Director of Operations, Michalis Nicolaou, yesterday at 23:20, members of the Polis Chrysochous police station, while on motorized patrol, noticed the presence of a vehicle in the area of Panagia Chrysovenetiotissa church, in the Latchi area.
The police entered the church and spotted a person hiding there. As it turned out, he is a 25-year-old man from a village in the apartment of Polis Chrysochous.
According to Nicolaou, the 25-year-old admitted to entering the church with the intention of stealing, saying its door was closed but unsecured.
As it transpired, Mr. Nicolaou told CNA, the 25-year-old stole several coins of about thirteen euros from the bench of the church.
He confessed to the burglary and theft of money, while various burglary tools were found inside the car.
He was arrested and is in custody.

A case of theft of a rental vehicle and damage to it, is being investigated by the Paphos Police. To facilitate interrogations, they are seeking a 34-year-old man.
According to the Paphos Assistant Police Director of Operations, Michalis Nicolaou, on February 8, at 20:00, a 54-year-old man, who runs a car rental office in Paphos, reported that on January 31 he had rented a car to a 34-year-old man who was due to return it on February 4.
On 9 February, the vehicle in question was found abandoned in Paphos and it was found that the battery had been stolen from it, while there was damage to the dashboard of the vehicle.
The 34-year-old was issued with an arrest warrant for vehicle theft and damage and is wanted.
Examinations to locate him continue by the Police in Paphos.

A coordinated operation was carried out by the Police in Paphos on Sunday at a facility for unaccompanied minors.
According to Pafos Assistant Police Director of Operations, Michalis Nicolaou, between the hours of 06:00 and 08:30, a coordinated operation was carried out at the facility for unaccompanied minors, in which members of the Paphos Police Authority, the Anti-Narcotics Service, the Aliens and Immigration Service as well as the MMAD participated.
As part of the operation, Nicolaou said, several rooms were searched under court warrants and based on information about possible offenses and many persons living in the facility were searched without, however, as he said, anything reprehensible emerged.
