As of next Monday, January 22nd, 2024, the photo-labelling system will be extended to the district of Pafos. A total of 16 fixed cameras will operate at five locations, always aiming to reduce serious and fatal road collisions.
Specifically, four cameras have been installed at the intersection of Europe, Yiannou Kranidioti and Georgios Savva avenues and will check violations related to the violation of the red light, the white line and the speed limit.
The same violations will be checked by four devices at the intersection of Ellados, Dimokratias and Tassos Papadopoulos avenues. Another four devices have been installed at the intersection of Agioi Anargyroi and Spyrou avenues Kyprianou with Agapinoros Street.
In addition, two devices were installed at the junction of Athinon and Christodoulou Sozou Avenues, while two devices were also installed at the junction of Chlorakas and Griva Digeni Avenues with Agiou Georgiou Street.
It is noted that mobile cameras are already used for speed control in the Pafos District.
The aim is to reduce serious and fatal road collisions, as well as to consolidate proper road consciousness in our country.
