RESTORATION OF THEOSKEPASTIS SQUARE & SURROUNDING ROADS IN KATO PAPHOS
The project Restoration of Theoskepastis Square and Surrounding Roads in Kato Pafos concerns the complete reconstruction and remodelling of the road network, the installation of embryo pipes and utility services in the area, the creation of paved pavements and widened public sidewalks with high quality and durability materials as well as the creation of squares, living areas of benches, flowers and greenery.
It is also noted that Poseidonos Avenue will be two-way for vehicle traffic.
The project aims at the aesthetic and functional upgrade of the Kato Paphos tourist area and especially at unifying the interior part of the tourist area with the beach front through sidewalks and materials of the same nature creating a unified aesthetic effect and homogenous/uniform set thus contributing to the upgrade of its tourist product city and in general in upgrading and regenerating tourism businesses in the city for the use of both visitors and locals.Moreover, important archaeological remains/finds that were discovered during the stage of the project is being highlighted and together with the other historical monuments in the area of Panagia Theoskepastis will be an important attraction for tourism."The project is implemented within the framework of the Political Cohesion Program "THALEIA 2021-2027" co-financed by the EU"
