From next Monday, January 22, 2024, the photo-marking system will be extended to the district of Paphos. A total of 16 fixed cameras will operate in five locations, always aiming to reduce serious and fatal road collisions.
In particular, four cameras have been placed at the intersection of Europa, Giannou Kranidiotis and Georgios Savvas avenues and will check for violations involving the violation of the red signal, the white line and the speed limit.
The same violations will be checked by four devices at the intersection of Ellados, Dimokratia and Tassos Papadopoulos avenues. Another four devices have been installed at the intersection of Agios Anargyro and Spyros Kyprianou avenues with Agapinoros street.
In addition, two devices were placed at the junction of Athens and Christodoulos Sozos avenues, while two devices were also placed at the junction of Chlorakas and Griva Digeni avenues with Agios Georgiou Street.
It is noted that mobile cameras are already being used for speed control in the Paphos District.
The aim is to reduce serious and fatal road collisions, as well as to reinforce good road awareness in our country.
