A bomb explosion occurred around 3 a.m. in a vehicle in the Geroskipou industrial area. The vehicle was parked outside a business selling auto parts.
The powerful explosion almost completely destroyed the vehicle. The scene has been cordoned off and police are investigating.

A 75-year-old Greek Cypriot was arrested yesterday in the occupied area by the so-called police of the pseudo-state, in possession of 3 kilos of cannabis which he allegedly bought from drug dealers in the occupied areas.
According to information, the Greek Cypriot had gone to the occupied area accompanied by a 35-year-old foreigner and after allegedly buying the drugs, they were immediately arrested by the so-called police.
Information from the authorities of the Republic indicates that similar incidents often occur with Greek Cypriots visiting the occupied areas to buy drugs.
The alleged drug traffickers, according to the same information, are agents of the so-called police of the pseudo-state who deliberately sell the drugs to Greek Cypriots and then denounce them.

A car was completely destroyed by a fire that was set at dawn in Limassol. The investigations determined that it was arson.
According to police, the fire was set at three in the morning in a car belonging to a 35-year-old man, while it was parked outside his home in Limassol. The fire, which was extinguished by members of the Fire Brigade, completely destroyed the car.
As determined by the examinations of the Fire Brigade and the Police, the fire was caused by arson. Various documents were received from the scene, which will be sent for scientific examinations.

Police arrested a 54-year-old military man last night before the Limassol derby between AEL and Apollon, for the 18th matchday of the championship, which took place at the "Alphamega Stadium".

The 54-year-old behaved strangely upon entering and aroused the suspicions of the members of the Force. It was found that the 54-year-old was intoxicated and confronted a police officer whom he pushed and insulted.
He was subsequently arrested for a flagrant offense and specifically for insulting and assaulting a police officer, public insult and drunkenness. The 54-year-old was taken into custody and a case against him is expected to be registered tomorrow.
